This 360 credits course is designed to provide the fresh school leavers who prefer to build their foundation in in Graphic Design and Digital Arts. Equip students with fundamental knowledge of graphics, illustrations, color theory, typography, and design principles to create visually appealing and effective designs. Provide hands-on experience with leading design and multimedia software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, After Effects, and Blender, enabling students to manipulate digital assets and create professional-quality visuals. Foster expertise in drawing, modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation techniques for both 2D and 3D design, ensuring students can produce high-quality digital and traditional artwork. Train students in animation principles, character rigging, motion tweening, and compositing techniques to create engaging animations and visual storytelling elements. Equip students with skills in video editing, color grading, compositing, and special effects using software like After Effects and Premiere Pro for high-quality media production. Enhance students' ability to analyze and interpret visual messages, develop brand identities, and integrate advertising, social media, and digital culture into their design approach. Encourage students to analyze design problems, experiment with creative solutions, and implement effective storytelling, layout, and composition strategies for impactful visual communication. ENTRY CRITERIA
General Criteria
Successful Completion of Higher Secondary Education( A’ level 2 pass - E and above) OR Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field OR Attainment of a Level 4 Foundation Study Program approved for the specific Diploma program.
Alternative Criteria
20 years old, completion of a Level 4 qualification (unrelated), and successful completion of an MQA approved University Preparation Program OR 20 years old, completion of secondary school, 2 years of relevant work experience, and successful completion of an MQA approved University Preparation Program
